Different Destinations in Nassau

Atlantis at Paradise Island, Nassau
15 Reviews  We had understood from past reviews that we would be able to go into the lobby of the Atlantis resort, but were told by our tour guide that the pressure of cruise ship and other tourists in the place was so great that they had decided to close off most areas of the resort to outsiders. We were able...
Fort & Water Tower, Nassau
31 Reviews  Like a lot of people, we went to Fort Fincastle. We liked it. It was only a dollar, is the highest point on the island, so great photos, and it's right next to the Queen's Staircase, so a two-fer...Plus, there's a reasonably clean public bathroom there, which we took advantage of.
Straw Market, Nassau

Paradise Island, Nassau
14 Reviews   If you're headed to the Atlantis Hotel Resort for the Casino, to eat at Murray's Delicatessen or Jimmie's Soda Fountain, and arrive there by water taxi, you will have to walk past the Marina at the Atlantis Resort. If you love the ocean and boating you will be seriously jealous of the yachts here....
Blue Lagoon Island, Nassau
9 Reviews  Tons of fun. PJ ("our" sealion) hugged, kissed us; shook "hands", blew bubbles, stuck out her tongue. We got to "pet" her. Great experience. The "Touch Tank" is cool...conches, etc to touch. The lagoon/beach is pretty. Wanted to swim with dolphins, but our cruise did not give us enough time to do...
Queen's Staircase, Nassau
4 Reviews  The Queen's staircase is named after Queen Victoria who is revered in the Bahamas. The canyon there was created as stone was quarried for things like the fort that was built up the hill from it. The staircase was hand carved by the slaves that quarried the stone to get it up the hill to the fort as...
Pirate Museum, Nassau
10 Reviews  On this latest visit to Nassau (Dec., 2009) I finally was able to visit the "Pirates of Nassau Museum" which is within an easy 10-15 minute walk from the cruise ship piers in the "heart of Nassau." This interactive museum would appeal to many children as well as adults who are fascinated by the...
Hog Island Lighthouse, Nassau
1 Review  Hog Island Lighthouse is the first landmark you see as you enter the port besides the Atlantis towers. The lighthouse itself fits in with the simply beauty of the island. It is more of a representation of the people and the everyday life than the larger than life Atlantis resort.
Prince George Wharf, Nassau
3 Reviews  Prince George Wharf is where all the HUGE cruise ships dock into Nassau. They simply drawf everything around them and can be seen from miles away. The wharf is also where you can catch ferries to Paradise Island from
